Your parents already have a tracking app.
They just don't trust it.
The app bundled with a GPS box is an afterthought — no real driver app behind it, and a live location that drops out when it matters. Guardian Bus is built the other way around.
Works alongside the GPS you already have.
The app that came with the GPS is an afterthought.
Most schools already have a GPS box, and it does push updates to parents through some bundled app. But there's no real driver app behind it, the live location is patchy and often stale, and parents quietly stop relying on it. That's the gap Guardian Bus fills.
What a parent actually experiences.
Every value follows the bus itself — from the depot to the last stop and back to the school office.
Driver starts the trip
The driver taps Start Trip in the Guardian Bus Driver app. The phone begins broadcasting the bus's live position — a background service keeps it running even with the screen off.
Parents see the bus move
Every parent on the route opens a live map showing exactly where the bus is right now, and a clean arrival board counting down the minutes to their stop.
"Reaching your stop soon"
As the bus nears each stop, that stop's families get a heads-up — so children come down when the bus is close, not ten minutes early in the cold or the sun.
Stops tick off as they're reached
The driver confirms arrival at each stop; the whole route updates in real time. Parents further down the line watch their turn approach with confidence.
The office sees the whole fleet
Your admin portal shows every bus that's currently on a trip on one live map — which routes are running, where they are, and who's driving.
We sit on top of it — we don't rip it out.
Keep your hardware for what it's good at: an always-on record for the office. Guardian Bus replaces the flimsy app it shipped with — and gives parents the reliable experience it was never good at — starting the day you switch it on.
What schools ask us first.
Our GPS is always on. A phone can be switched off — isn't that worse?
The driver app runs a foreground location service that keeps broadcasting with the screen off, and the office sees at a glance which buses are live and which aren't — so a phone that's off shows up immediately as accountability, not a blind spot. For schools that want a permanent always-on unit, a cheap dedicated Android phone mounted in the bus runs the driver app full-time.
We already send parents updates from our GPS app.
Good — that means your parents already expect tracking; they're just frustrated with what they have. Guardian Bus runs independently on top of your existing GPS and replaces that experience with a proper driver app, reliable live location, and per-stop ETAs parents actually open. Your GPS keeps doing its job for the office — nothing you've paid for is thrown away.
Is parent and student data safe?
Yes. Each school's data is isolated — one school's admin can only ever see their own school. Location is shared only while a trip is active and stops automatically when it ends, and it's never used for advertising. Sign-in is by one-time password to a verified phone number.
How much work is it for our office?
Minimal. You set up routes, stops and buses once in the admin portal; drivers and parents install an app and sign in with their phone. There's no wiring, no installation appointments, and updates arrive on their own.
Show us one route. We'll show you the parent app on it.
